Lowe’s store managers, assistant store managers and department supervisors keep our stores running smoothly and safely for both customers and associates. They pave the way for our associates to meet sales and service objectives and – above all else – deliver the best possible customer experience in our stores.
These associates are true experts in their fields. They help meet customers’ plumbing and electrical project goals by explaining related merchandise features, providing accurate quotes, and offering installation services – all in a friendly and informative manner. They also assist with safely loading and stocking merchandise, checking inventory, and filling online orders.
These team members work hard every day and night to ensure that the stores are ready to open every morning with the right products in the right place to serve each customer that comes through the door. These roles complete merchandising resets, confirm correct pricing and signage, create safe and accessible product displays, and more.
In departments throughout each store, sales specialists explain the specs and features of a product or service to customers, with the goal of closing a sale and providing expert consultative services. These associates are also responsible for executing orders and projects in their area of focus (e.g., flooring, appliances, cabinets, millwork).
These associates typically work evenings, overnight, or early morning to help provide the right products to Lowe’s customers. They unload merchandise from incoming freight and move it to the sales floor and stocking departments, ensuring other team members and customers have the products they need throughout the store.
These associates actively deliver excellent customer service by using their expertise to answer customers’ questions and assist them in finding the best products for their project. Overall, Customer Service associates spend the most time interacting with our customers and ensuring they receive the best possible shopping experience.
Lowe’s cashiers are responsible for much more than a smooth checkout process for customers. As one of the last associates that our customers see on their way out the store, cashiers play a crucial role in making sure each customer is satisfied with their purchase and excited for their next trip to Lowe’s.
These roles oversee multiple stores in their region, relying on close relationships with store leaders and a deep understanding of each store’s unique characteristics. These associates work collaboratively with both store leadership and store support center associates to solve problems, react to customer needs, build store teams, and more.
Every associate is tasked with delivering quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store that is appropriately stocked with the right products that our customers need. To do this, our associates need to work together across departments and all areas of the business, and with customers and their communities. Our success is due - in large part - to our collaborative nature.
Whether someone is a returning customer or visiting Lowe's for the first time, they all have their home-improvement goal in mind - and they expect an excellent customer experience that helps them achieve that goal. Store associates must remain focused on listening to and learning from customers - it's that level of service that will encourage them to return again and again.
Our business and our customers are driven by results. We make this happen by meeting or exceeding our customer's goals through action, responsiveness and a sense or urgency. As a Lowe's associate, you'll be charged with helping meet our customer's goals every time so together we can deliver results for the business.
