“The Fellowship was a totally new experience. It was very well planned out. I was given small bite-sized chunks of work that was meaningful and interesting. I had an open mind about it, but also a roller coaster of emotions. As I got more involved with my team, Lowe’s started to feel like a tightly knit family. It reminded me of what it felt like to be deployed. I had a sense of belonging, comradery and purpose. I 100% recommend Lowe’s SkillBridge Fellowship.”

“I first learned about the SkillBridge program through ’50 Strong’. I joined a webinar about the Lowe’s Fellowship and immediately contacted the Military Recruiting Team. They guided me through the interview process and helped me provide my Command with the information needed once I accepted the position. After 12 weeks, I realized the transition wasn’t as difficult as I was anticipating. Lowe’s has a great team environment, and everyone wants to see you succeed. I never thought of retail as my next step, but I love the team culture and commitment to being the best.”

“The experience offered meaningful work and everyone I worked with was helpful and welcoming. I felt like I belonged. I had regular check-ins during the program so I knew I was on track and meeting expectations. Lowe’s made it super easy to transition and many of my colleagues are also veterans. The leadership team I work with is very supportive. I could not ask for a better place to work or for a better company than Lowe’s.”
