Lowe’s Employee Relief Fund

In addition to giving back to our communities, we also support our Lowe's family in times of personal crisis.

To help associates undergoing significant personal hardship, the Lowe's Employee Relief Fund (LERF), funded by the generous contributions of our associates, allows for our team members to help each other in times of need. All associate contributions are matched by Lowe's, making each dollar that much more impactful. In 2020, LERF provided almost $3 million to associates and their families.

While not limited to these events, LERF funding may be provided when an associate experiences an unforeseen hardship, such as:

    • Major home or personal property damage caused by a house fire or natural disaster

    • Death of associate or associate’s immediate family member (spouse and dependent children) to assist with funeral costs

    • Other demonstrated hardships, including medical expenses

    Track to the Trades

Track to the Trades is a national program that Lowe's developed to provide financial support, educational coaching, and more for associates as they pursue certifications in the skilled trades. An estimated 3 million new jobs in the skilled trades will be available by 2028, and Lowe’s is passionate about equipping the next generation of skilled-trades professionals with the training they need to meet the rising demand for these jobs and provide these associates with life-long, fulfilling careers. By providing upfront tuition assistance and utilizing our nationwide contractor network for placement opportunities, Track to the Trades aims to be a valuable resource for a new generation of skilled craftsman.
